When I was younger, I really wanted to play an instrument.

I tried the piano,

the recorder,

the clarinet,

the guitar.

I just couldn’t get it. Music, despite my best efforts, was not my thing. And that’s okay. I am not a musician, but man, do I love being surrounded by music.

The good kind of music.

The kind of music that calms your soul.

The kind of music that makes you involuntarily dance around with a batter-covered whisk in your hand.

The kind of music that makes you think. The kind of music that makes you feel something.

This band… they’re the good kind. And it would pretty much make my day if y’all would head over to their kickstarter, watch their video, and think about backing them so that they can make a full length album full of gems like this…

Update: The Kiwi thinks that, in the interest of full disclosure, I should mention that I know about these cats because I went to high school with one of them. I didn’t mention it because I wanted to promote the band, not my feeble connection to it. They never asked me to promote them and I’m definitely not being compensate for it. I just genuinely think they are great and would like nothing more than to see them succeed so that I can listen to more of their excellent music. Really I’m just incredibly selfish.
